Gareth Gwyndaf Jones

Gareth is regarded as one of the go-to criminal lawyers in South and West Wales & also a Director at Gomer Williams. He is highly regarded by both our clients and his peers for his down to earth and no-nonsense approach, matched by significant experience in the most complex of criminal cases. Gareth is also a specialist within the Mental Health team at Gomer Williams.
Director - Head of Wills & Probate
Kate specialises in both commercial and residential conveyancing, as well as Wills and Probate. She also specialises in elderly client work and is particularly sensitive to their needs. She has worked in a variety of small local practices and larger international firms and has a wealth of experience in her field.
Director - Head of Family
Lucy (FCILEx) practices within our busy Family Law Team where she is responsible for the majority of family matters our clients may have. She works with individuals and families across the region to provide compassionate, clear and confident legal solutions to a variety of family and childcare law issues.
Director - Head of Civil Litigation
Trina is head of the civil department and has a particular interest in contentious probate. She is a member of the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS). She is experienced in dealing with Inheritance Act Claims, will challenges, estate administration disputes, trust claims and disputed court of protections matters.
Director - Head of Property
Sarah joined the practice in 2017 bringing with her valuable expertise and extensive experience in the field of Conveyancing and Property law. Having built an admiral reputation, Sarah continues to receive referrals and recommendations from clients across the UK which is testimony to the quality and efficiency of her service.
Director - Head of Crime
Laura joined the team at Gomer Williams in 2013 and is a valued member of the Criminal Department. Laura is very popular with clients and a strong advocate both at the police station and in Court. Laura’s knowledge of the law and approachable personality is such that she is regarded as one of the go-to lawyers in her field.
Stephen is an experienced solicitor having qualified in 1982. He specialises in criminal law and has dealt with all types of cases, from the straightforward to complex cases including importation of drugs and a number of murders. He is also a Duty Solicitor and able to advise at Police Stations and Courts.
Richard is a highly experienced criminal defence lawyer having qualified as a solicitor in 1995 and specialising in criminal law since 1998. He has advised and represented defendants upon a wide range of criminal offences including complex and challenging cases such as murder, manslaughter and fraud. Richard is a full member of police station duty solicitor scheme and criminal law accreditation scheme.
Andrew has over 35 years’ experience in family and criminal law. He specialises in representing parents in Care Proceedings issued by a local authority and in private law disputes relating to residence and contact. He also has extensive experience in advising clients in relation to marriage breakdowns and divorce to include the consequential financial implications.
John works within our busy probate and will department. He typically prepares Wills and completes estate administration - the largest estate he has worked on to date was valued at £5.5 million. He also prepares and produces Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA).
Peter Rhys Jones
Peter obtained Solicitor-Advocate status on 26 January 2006 and is authorised to conduct criminal proceedings in the higher courts. He has prosecution experience in his work for the RSPCA and as an agent for the Dyfed-Powys Police Force Prosecuting Solicitors Office, before the creation of the Crown Prosecution Service.
Matthew specialises in criminal law and has experience of dealing with high profile cases including fraud, serious assaults, drug cases and serious sexual assaults. He is a fully accredited police station representative, allowing him to represent client’s detained in custody.
Geraint works within our busy family department, mainly dealing with matrimonial and childcare matters. He prides himself on offering a friendly and compassionate service to all our clients. Geraint is also Police Station Accredited, a qualification that allows him to represent clients who have been taken into custody.
