Solicitor

 

 

Peter obtained Solicitor-Advocate status on 26 January 2006 and is authorised to conduct criminal proceedings in the higher courts.

He has worked as a solicitor in several firms in the Carmarthen area; a partner in two and practising as a sole practitioner for a time with a bias towards Criminal Defence Litigation and advocacy.

He has also had some Prosecution experience in prosecuting for the RSPCA and as an agent for the Dyfed-Powys Police Force Prosecuting Solicitors Office before the creation of the Crown Prosecution Service.

He enlisted in the then 4th Battalion The Royal Regiment of Wales as a private soldier and was Commissioned as an Officer two years later rising to the rank of Major.

Peter was admitted to the Rolls on 15 November 1975.


Outside of work

He is married with two adult children and is currently a Churchwarden at his village Church.
